Bracelet of the Day: Moon Ring - French Rose

MOON RING BRACELET
  • 11/0 seed beads Toho "Transparent Montana Gold Luster" (204)
  • 8/0 seed beads Toho "Transparent Montana Gold Luster" (204)
  • 3mm fire polished beads "Transparent Topaz Pink Luster"
  • 4mm Czech bicones "French Rose Celsian"

Today's and tomorrow's posts are also about "Moon Ring Bracelets".  As you may have guessed, this is one of my favorite patterns. It's so pretty and doesn't call for any unusual or hard to find beads. The pattern works best with Miyuki seed beads but, with a little coaxing, you can make Toho seed beads work just fine. The Toho beads that I used to make this bracelet are even fatter than most of their beads. In spite of the thick luster coating on them my bracelet came out perfect. The trick is to use a relaxed tension when going around the motifs if you're using Toho beads. Be careful though not to leave gaps between the beads where the thread would show. Just gently pull the beads close together as you go around but don't pull tight.

You can buy Deb's pattern at Around the Beading Table, HERE. Unfortunately, the French Rose Celsian bicones have been discontinued. If you're lucky, Betsy might still have some left at Red Panda, HERE.
